04.09.16 – End of Day Notes

What I did today: Very little, actually. It has been a bitterly cold day, my allergies have kicked me in the arse, and I’ve mostly been in bed all day. Somehow, I managed to write my science fiction story titled Hatched Plans, a senryu series as my small stones for the day, and a poem that combined both the NaPoWriMo and the April PAD Challenge. I haven’t read a single blog for the A2Z today, nor participated in any other regular challenges that I usually do. Since tomorrow is a day off for the A2Z, I plan on spending the day catching up on other participants’ blogs. I may even write some flash fiction for other challenges if my allergies aren’t too severe. Or, I may just spend another day in bed. Time will tell.

What I learned today: For some reason, I am exhausted. I don’t know if it is from the allergy meds, the cold, or from too many late nights/early mornings with very little sleep. Whatever the cause, I have learned to listen to my body and not push myself.

What I am most proud of today: Honestly, just that I was able to get anything accomplished today.

What did you do today, dear readers? Learn any lessons? Have a reason to be proud? Share your thoughts with me in the comments!

  1. Despite being tired and mentally exhausted, I completed the H post for the A to Z Challenge. My younger son is looking into making a steampunk costume. I helped him look over examples for that.

What's on your mind? Let me know!
