03.14.16 – End of Day Notes

What I did today: I was up until about 8 am this morning. I got my usual writing projects completed and scheduled. Then I crawled into bed and slept until around 1:30 pm when a friend called and woke me up. I guess I needed to be up. I wrote a few more posts, read some emails, made some comments. Now I am getting sleepy again. I think I will watch another episode of the original Star Trek (I am trying to watch all of the shows in order from the beginning – haven’t seen them all this way in years) and then I may just go back to bed.

What I learned today: putting my phone on speaker frees up my hands and prevents neck cramps… you’d think I would have thought of that a long time ago. I can be so dense sometimes.

What I am most proud of today:  Apparently I was able to make some sense in my mystery story today even though I felt like crap and couldn’t concentrate. It did take me 2 hrs to write it, review it, rework some areas and then finally get it posted.

What did you do today, dear readers? Learn any lessons? Have a reason to be proud? Share your thoughts with me in the comments!

10 Daily Currents – 03.14.16

It is Monday at 3:58 pm and I am currently…

1. listening: birds singing, cars passing by, dogs yapping in the far distance

2. eating: left over catfish and coleslaw

3. drinking: Pepsi Max

4. wearing: pj bottoms with teddy bears, a black t-shirt, comfy black sweater, purple socks – not my best fashion day

5. feeling: still crappy – sinus headache, groggy

6. weather: cloudy and chilly, about 60 degrees

7. wanting: to go back to bed and sleep until I feel better

8. needing: some energy dammit!

9. thinking: I wish warm days would just get here and stay here

10. enjoying: nothing much at all today… just too tired and too sickly to care 😦

Share Your World – 2016 Week 11

041514-sywbanner

for Cee’s Share Your World

How many siblings do you have? Two – a sister and a brother What’s your birth order? I am the dreaded, woe-is-me middle child

In a car would you rather drive or be a passenger? I much prefer to be the passenger. I have a habit of looking at things.. like the canopy of trees overhead or birds soaring in the sky. Not a good combination when trying to drive *laughs*

When you lose electricity in a storm, do you light the candles or turn on the flashlight? How many of each do you own? I light candles. I probably own around 100 candles, all shapes and sizes and replenish them monthly. I only own two flashlights and rarely use them.

List at least five of your favorite types of animals?  (any animal to domestic to wild to marine life) ravens, hawks, cats (any kind, domestic and wild), dogs (mostly large dogs though – can’t stand little yappy dogs), and whales (love to hear the whales’ songs)

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week – cold medicine, allergy medicine, my bed, and my brother’s cooking

and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? writing more on my mystery story as it is coming to an apex and turning point for the main character
