Celebrate the Small Things – 03.04.16

Celebrate blog hop

Today I am celebrating…

Truthfully, I don’t have much to celebrate this week. I am just busy writing. I guess I could celebrate four successful days on my WhoDunIt. So far, the story is progressing along nicely. No hiccups. No writer’s block. I would say smooth sails ahead, but as surely as I did, Murphy would come visiting and it would all go to hell. So I won’t jinx it.

I would like to be celebrating Spring, but it snowed yesterday. About 4 inches worth of that white stuff. And it is cold. So nothing to celebrate about that. Although, the weather man does promise 70 degree weather next week. *fingers crossed*

I can’t even celebrate about staying rested during all of my writing excursions because I have been plagued by insomnia off and on for over a week now. I will celebrate getting 6 hours of sleep night before last and another 3 yesterday evening, but I am awake again and sleep is alluding me tonight/early this morning.

What I will celebrate is my muses, Catharine and Evelyn, as they are staying on top of things and keeping the ideas flowing. Thank you, ladies!

And right now, I am going to go celebrate my coffee pot. It looks like another long day of writing ahead of me.

What are you celebrating this week? Feel free to share with me in comments.

Each Friday, I join Lexa Cain and friends for a weekly blog-hop called Celebrate the Small Things, where we celebrate all of those small moments from the week before.

  1. That’s great that your writing is progressing so well. I don’t blame you at all for not wanting Murphy to visit. Sorry to hear about your trouble sleeping. I feel like a zombie if I don’t get enough sleep (which happens more often than it should). Our temps got back up into the 50s today and melted most of the snow we had left. Yay! Hope you’re having a good week and getting more sleep!

    • Thank you, Lori 🙂 still feeling a bit under the weather here and sleep is still off and on. I am glad your temps went back and melted the snow 😀 We are getting nice warm days for a change. Looking forward to reading you more often. Take care and have a great week as well, dear 🙂

  2. Well done on pushing forward with your writing… I’m at that stage right now, and yep, sometimes it just doesn’t feel like a celebrating kind of week, but you’re doing fantastic:)

  3. You have some good stuff to celebrate in there. Yay for writing progress and the fact the temperature will be climbing soon! Big yay for the people who keep us sane and on point in our writing! I wouldn’t get anything decent written without my CPs. Sorry to hear you still have insomnia. My husband has it too. It’s miserable, although if he increases his physical activity, he sometimes sees a bit of improvement.. Hope you get some sleep this weekend. 🙂

  4. Yay to getting writing done! That alone is a huge thing to celebrate. Here’s hoping that you get more sleep. I tend to have trouble with that myself, but it tends to damper my muses too. Here’s wishing you sweet dreams soon!

  5. Hi Lori, I found you in the comments on WomensLegacyProject.com, and I am celebrating being able to share the work of others! That is a big thing though, so I am celebrating Scrivener, which I am finally figuring out how to use.

    • Oh wow! so happy that you stopped by and shared with me. Good luck with Scrivener. I still haven’t decided if I want to buy it or not. I am hopping over to your blog now 🙂

  6. Congratulations on the writing! I’m sorry you are having so much trouble with insomnia. I have struggled with that and can relate to how horrible it is. Take care!
It’s nice to meet you through the Celebrate hop. 🙂
