This week I am celebrating:
My continued success writing Horror Tales over at Promptly Written. So far I have 11 tales written and these are really stretching my imagination and pushing me way beyond my comfort zone. I can honestly say though that they have been fun to write.
My continued health and energy levels. Winters are usually very hard on me. I have arthritis and the cold weather only exacerbates the pain I feel on warmer days. So far this Winter, the pain has been minimal. I also haven’t had a cold yet, which is unusual for me as well. I am also still maintaining my “diet” which I’ve been following now for nearing 6 months. I don’t really like calling it a diet because it is now a way of eating/living as I will never be able to go back to my old eating habits. I do have more energy on this way of eating/living and I attribute this to all of the good fats and protein I’ve added. I also attribute this “diet” to the lessened arthritic pain and no colds.
What are you celebrating this week? Any major or minor accomplishments? Let me know in the comments!
Each Friday, I join Lexa Cain and friends for a weekly blog-hop called Celebrate the Small Things, where we celebrate all of those small moments from the week before.
The wonderful co-hosts of Celebrate the Small Things are:

Congrats on the Horror Tale writing! 11 stories is a lot! I’m sorry to hear about your arthritis but yay that it hasn’t bothered you so much this winter. Good for you for starting a health regimen and for not using the dreaded word “diet”! Wishing you a lovely weekend. 🙂
Thanks, Lexa 🙂 Yeah, 12 tales down now and just another 17 to go.. *laughs* It’s been a fun month so far 🙂 and thanks…. I do hate that word “diet” Have a lovely weekend, Lexa!
Lori, I don’t necessarily have eating restrictions, but I prefer to eat a well rounded healthy foods. Boosting your protein intake is a good energy enhancer and it satisfies you better meaning fewer in-between snacks which often means added unwanted calories packing on undesirable weight. So, eating lean protein is a totally win-win part of a good diet. So glad to hear this winter hasn’t given you much trouble. I sure hate the cold and am looking forward to warmer weather to get here FAST. Have a good weekend. It’s nice to read what you’re celebrating!
Thanks for stopping by and leaving such a lovely comment, Cathy 🙂 I started eating whole foods (no sugar, starch or processed foods) and am feeling so much healthier. Sounds like you have a good diet too! Enjoy your weekend!
Congrats on all your writing progress! Sorry to hear about your arthritis. You wouldn’t want to be here in Vermont this weekend. It’s going to be bone cold. Stay warm and enjoy your weekend!
Thank you, Lori.. it is going to be cold here too in VA… down into the low teens the next couple of nights.. I hope you stay warm too!
It’s a hard winter here too. Blowing snow at the moment. I must drink a lot of tea to keep warm. Keep on with your writing, persistence pays.
Thank you, Nissa 🙂 Stay warm!
Hello, nice to meet you. Ack…I’m sorry about the cold aggravating your arthritis. It’s snowing here now as I write and tomorrow it’ll be the coldest day of the year in Buffalo, which we’ve been fortunate so far. Have a nice weekend.
Hello Cathrina (love your name btw!) …pleasure to meet you as well. It will be cold here this weekend too, down into the low teens. Stay warm and enjoy your weekend!
